Your role:

Category Manager for News UK, supporting the entities News UK, Wireless and Unruly and therefore predominately UK focused. Some programs lend themselves to global programs, so will include interaction with other regions (USA and Australia). The procurement is non-technology indirect spend.

Day to day you will:

  • Manage spend categories including, marketing and editorial.
  • Lifecycle management of sourcing programs, including spend analysis, tender and commercial negotiations.
  • Leading on supplier review programs and commercial negotiations.
  • Providing market benchmark information to support spend reviews and contract proposals
  • Liaise with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) for delivery of new contracts.
  • Responsible for financial analysis and Business case development to support new supplier contracts, initiatives and opportunities on an on-going basis
  • Completion of governance documents as required.
  • Support Head of Procurement in programs and projects to develop the procurement department

What we’re looking for from you:

A seasoned procurement professional, self-starting who can take ownership for their own programs. Ideally we are looking for someone who can work across different programs in parallel and manage their stakeholders accordingly.
