Digital Sales Executive
What’s the purpose of this role?
The Digital Sales Executive is responsible for selling the News UK digital portfolio, to a set territory of clients and agencies that contribute to the Digital team departmental budgets. Working to set key performance indicators, the Sales Executive will provide an industry leading customer experience through a combination of telephone sales and external meetings.
Basic salary is dependent on experience + 40% Commission Structure + Benefits

What are the responsibilities for this role?
You will take accountability for maximising revenue of an assigned territory and with the support of the Group Head develops a strategy to achieve this.
You’ll take full responsibility of leads assigned and actively sources new leads.
Achieves revenue targets through new business development and account management.
You’ll be expected to sell our digital portfolio to agencies and clients including Display, Video, Mobile, Programmatic and Branded Content.
Is expected to achieve Sales Activity critical metrics.
Conducts effective meetings with full preparation including set objectives, agendas and a comprehensive follow up for every appointment.
Demonstrates an ability to influence decision makers through confidently presenting, negotiating and closing a sale.
You’ll be supporting the Digital Sales Managers and Senior Digital Sales Manager on the team when required.
Consistently works closely with their team to identify business needs and opportunities across their shared territory.
Identifies new business opportunities within their individual sales territory.
Uses research data and market intelligence to build and develop bespoke creative client proposals.
You will be an authority in the digital industry, has full knowledge of the competitor set across all media, understands our position within the market and analyses sales opportunities.
Displays a strong knowledge of the News UK portfolio
Displays competency and understanding of the relevant systems and processes within News UK Commercial.
You will lead digital campaign performance and liaises with Digital Account Managers to optimise performance and delivery.
Possesses an awareness of all relevant partners and has the ability to communicate effectively using appropriate channels of communication, including Workspace.
Is responsible for frequent reports of territory revenue, sales, opportunities and threats to their Group Head.
Who are we looking for?
You will have solid account management experience.
Some familiarity with media research systems.
You’ll have a working knowledge of the digital market.
You’ll need a consistent record of success in a target driven sales environment.
Experience using systems such as SalesForce.
