Job Title: Junior Writers/Editors
Department: The Sun Online
Reports to: Audience Development Manager
The Sun Online is the biggest mobile news brand in the UK - and still growing! - with a young, talented, diverse team who publish the best coverage of news, sport, TV and showbiz, lifestyle and family value.
Purpose of role: To work on a project tasked with engaging our readers through interactive experiences, such as quizzes and polls, on our website. The role is shift-based and paid on a day rate with flexibility on the amount of shifts per week.
- Write and build engaging quizzes and polls
- Communicate with editorial teams to ensure appropriate promotion e.g. links in articles, social support etc
- Track performance, collect data and report back findings
- Work with editors to develop ideas and formats
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Excellent standard of English
- Attention to detail
- Good creative skills
- Good general knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience of using a publishing CMS e.g. Wordpress
- Experience of using graphic software e.g. Photoshop
- Experience in a publishing environment.
